i will be picking up a set of randodes soon but i wanted to know if these were knockoffs. the website sucks for info

 

i would definetly just go with the randode cold cathodes...i have a set on my xb....they are a great buy...you wont regret it...:D

 

Bah, I thought this thread was about the factory cathodes being able to be knocked loose in the car on accident (had this happen the other day). :-)

 

yeah ill be gettin them soon. i just wanted to know if this was competition to the randode cathodes. i wouldnt buy anything else ;)

 

Looks like ____ty LED bars. If you're cheap and decent with your hands you can do cold cathodes for less than 20 bucks. Hit up the FAQ section.

 

Do your own with computer cold cathode kits. You can get some on newegg.com for like 6 bucks. Lowes sells a great switch that fits in your dash and you can have a randode style kit without the high cost.

 

This has probably been asked before... but is it possible to 'plug' the cathodes into the same place as the dealer-installed LED ports? Maybe you got a few tricks that I haven't heard about yet..

 

Listen, for about 10 bucks, you can have a couple of cold cathodes under your dash. There are faqs on this site and if you're familiar with auto electronics, you can install them easily. Get a set of cold cathodes from newegg.com or somewhere similar for about 7 bucks, wire them up to your cigarette lighter (behind the panel) and you're good to go. Don't pay 100 bucks when you can spend 20 bucks and some time to get the same results.

 

go with the randodes, ive seen plenty of them in real life and they are the best hands down.
