Yeah I'll give you a hand. They don't take long to do at all. I'll have to borrow spring compressors from my friend and we'll have to find a day that's not too cold. I might be doing my new HIDs + my sisters HIDs + oil change + fix my cluster this weekend if it's not too cold out.
Nicee! now i have u haha i never installed springs in my life so i have no clue how to even begin nor do i have tools to do anything, if this weekend is good im down, i htink im goin to Atlantic City on sunday, but if not definatly a day when its not so damn cold out, thanx mann i knew i could count on you hahaha btw how do u like ur TRD springs?

I love the TRD, they're much better than the S-Techs that I had on my 05. I've never done the full installation, but I removed both front struts/springs from my 05 tC and reinstalled them, plus I removed my rear D/S strut on my 08 to fix some annoying knocking noise...I fixed it but I have no clue wtf is was lol.
awesome i got these for dirt cheap i had to get them, is the drop noticeable? yeah i have no clue how to put these sh*ts on i want them on already lol, u have more knowledge of removing and installing sh*t then me so were good lol whenever the weather isnt too bad im down. lmfao random knock in ur rear strut?

Are they new or used? If they're new, the drop will be pathetic until they settle lol. I park next to a stock tC every day at my house, so I can easily notice the drop.
I had some knocking noise everytime I hit a bump and I narrowed it down to the strut assembly. So I removed the strut assy, tore it down and put it back together. Then when I installed it back onto the car the knocking noise just went away lol.
Stock height

TRDs settled on 17's

TRDs settled on 18's vs stock height on 17's

oh wow ok now i do notice the difference i like it and i heard these are alot stiffer then most springs i didnt want a crazy drop i jus want sumthing thats notcieable and drives good u have alip kit too though so it looks a tad lower

actually the TRDs arent that stiff at all. its a moderate stiffness/luxury ride. the S-techs are the stiffest on the market. however they are the lowest so you lose alot of suspension travel and its easier to bottom out.
as far as the TRD drop its very different depending on the car. some are uber low, and some dont look lowered at all. it depends heavily. on what im not totally sure but sum folks i've known have had theirs for years and they still arent that low. some put them on and 2 months later they are almost slammed.
good luck with the install. its not that difficult at all. pretty dummy proof and a good intro to working on your own car. make sure u allot plenty of time cuz it can take a while if ur bs'ing around and taking breaks.

CarbonXe i have that same knocking noise. my tech friend told me that the strut mounts go bad sumtimes and thats one thing that cuases it and the other is the nut on the very top in the middle of the mount. if its loser then it should be then it will make a knocking noise. i have yet to tighten mine but i REALLY need to do so. i think thats what urs mighta been since u said it went away. im glad i read that. if gives me hope to bleve that theres a chance i can quiet my car down lol

thanx bro definatly want to get these on already hopefully wont take too long to install or anything and ill finally see how to take these apart if a problem ever arises ever again
nah man. i have the numbers sumwhere that show the spring rates. TRD is alot more compliant. the reason u hear that S-techs are bouncy is cuz the springs themselves dont give as much to keep the body of the car from moving around. think about it like this. u put sponges in place of springs then the wheel themselves absorb 100% of the bumps and dips. you replace springs with lead bricks and there is nothing to absorb the bouncing so you feel EVERYthing. i have had a couple diff setups on my car suspensionwise and driven a few TRD sprung tCs. the TRDs feel more solid and luxury. but my s-techs feel MUCH more aggressive and racey. i prefer the s-techs but wish they werent so low since i bottom out on our horrible roads. but you will prolly like the TRDs just fine. i race and thats why the S-techs are a better choice for me. stiffer suspension gets me in/out the turns better. the Shocks/struts wont change the hieght much if any at all.
ohhhhh really??? yeah bro if i could i woulda bought the stechs because i love how aggresive it looks but NYC streets would kill my car underneath bad, TRD is jus enough of a drop for me and not look like a monster truck basically wat i was looking for. i think scionjon on here has the TRD setup he said the shocks actually do drop it a tiny bit more then jus the springs itself byt .25 maybe less i dont remember though, i guess if trds are more solid and luxury thats not bad either i jus want sumthing that rides good to u know. thanx broo
- The stock spring rate in the front is 25.5 N/mm. The TRD springs provide 29.8 N/mm.
- The stock spring rate in the rear is 45 N/mm. The TRD springs provide 57 N/mm.

yeah scionjon does have TRD. it sounds like TRD is the type of drop your looking for. i know what u mean with your NY roads. after driving on them alot this summer...i hate them. the area i live in in VA is just as bad. and my stechs are beating the hell outta my car lol. 80%perfect for race day, but almost horrible for every other day lol.
there was a FULL breakdown list of springrates that i put up on my home club's site. but i cant find it. imma look elsewhere.
