Default Another tC with another Booboo

I got excited that my car hit 120,000 miles without any problems (Body, Mechanical, theft, etc. ) whatsoever.

Within the two minutes of joy, I was driving down a country road then came across another highway at a intersection. So I stopped and waited for the green light. One car needed to left and the second needed to go straight. The guy decided to turn in front at the other car. He hits her head on and the girl clipped him. She flew right at me and hits my tC on the passenger side; making my car fly out of the turning lane. All I got was this....

I am scared what the insurance is going to say due to high mileage and there's still a loan on it..... Lucky for me no airbags deployed!

Good question...I think so from the outside but maybe damaged inside. Since I see the lip clips. Headlights still work. No cracks in windshield. There's strange odor when driving...I don't want to know if something mechanical happened.

wow 120K. That's impressive. Damage doesn't look too bad. I'm guessing its the hood that's off right? If so looks like a new hood and front bumper.

Isn't the pass. side up front where the windshield washer fluid is? Haven't ever put any in my car, never use it.

If i'm right you might've broken that and it splashed up on your engine and now your smelling that.

Pop your hood and let us see the engine bay, the radiator support and stuff. I'm sure theres more damage than meets the eye with the drivers fender and light lined up perfect, yet shoved over 3 inches. Hood is straight as an arrow I think, just the front section of the body got pushed over badly.

And luckily your OK and you didn't get hit worse

its very possible that the a/c condenser or radiator got a hole in it toyota and scion have very thin piping on them and tend to crack very easily

I went to get food few minutes ago.

The engine runs fine when driving BUT when I stop or is idling; there's rough shake. RPMs are normal even when the engine is cold. There's once in a blue moon; he'll idle @ 500 not 600. Hell, he starts right up.

My insurance isn't letting me get a rental and I work about 40 miles away. So far I have no choice but to drive the car.

Yea if I was a betting man, which I will be on this, you bent the front portion of the uni-body.

If i'm right that explains your rough idle, since you probably damaged a motor mount or it's awkwardly twisted.

Like I said before, got any pics under the hood?

I'll take some shots for you guys tomorrow. I'm going to Home Depot for some bungee cords first; just to be on the safe side.

My car did get serviced on Friday. For Coolant flush. I'll see if I mysteriously see that level drop. I was leaking window washer fluid at the crash scene. I noticed a spill and I quickly put my finger in it. Nice and blue and it smelled like it. The window washer fluid reservoir was half empty.

God this sucks! It's suppose to freeze rain tonight and my engine compartment is open about two inches.

Well least I get new bumper and some how my front plate is going to mysteriously disappear when going to the repair shop.

I figured it would be the washer fluid because if i recall right where you got hit is where its at.

When I don't know what a car is leaking I dab my finger in it too, to smell and inspect it. I used to taste it to be funny but then I read up on how toxic everything is even in small doses so I stopped that.

Don't worry about the freezing rain, everything in there is rain proof as long as your still stock.
