Default trd vs. tokico struts/shocks

debating on which ones to get with my trd springs. i know the tokico blues are 100 dollars cheaper than the trd's, but do they ride just as good as the trd's or even better? i'm looking for a smooth ride over a stiff one.

I have TRD's and I can say is that the ride feels better than stock, a lot smoother!

tokico is pretty well known in the suspension world. they're d-spec adjustable shocks perform just as good as koni adjustables imo.

I have TRDs.

I installed them at 65k-ish. I currently have 120k. Our roads here in the Midwest have been the WORST within these past few years.

These $700 struts/shocks doesn't want to die yet! I've hit nasty potholes and no blown strut.

I have TRDs are just awesome... WELL WORTH the extra 100 dollars imo. I have had mine for 20k wrapped in eibach sportlines and they are still just as great as the day I put them on.

how would you know they are worth the extra 100 bucks? you've had both? i would think that ur pretty much paying for the name TRD, like all their other products.

i have tokicos with h techs and they ride smooth as heck. its way better then stock. I love driving my car and couldnt be any happier with tokicos. Plus its cheaper to replace if just one shock/strut blows out on ya.

I just got my TRD springs & Tokico struts/shocks put on yesterday and I must say I love the ride. SO MUCH BETTER than Hotchkis springs with stock shocks, I feel like I have a real car again.

The ride is definitely stiffer than stock, which is what I was going for, the handling is great so far too. I would say go for the Tokicos, I heard they make the TRD shocks anyways.

I've been looking for struts for my sportlines. Can you describe to me the difference from OE to TRD felt like? Did all the bounciness go away?

tokico's would probably void the warranty though right?

i second that. same setup. perfect drop, and perfect ride quality. been on them for about a year, stiff but comfortable.
