All my parts will finally be here by tuesday. I am planning to post pics of the fabrication. I have talked to several companies including the guys that supplied the big thumper for our race car and no one has a working, tested, proven Scion xB kit so we are going to put together our own. Been there, done that. The tough part is getting a good fuel management setup. Have fun. BTW 2zz injectors will drop in... I was the first to try it, and it works :P

Started out with the TSI kit, ended up keeping nothing but the piping and intercooler. Fuel management wise, a 1:1 RRFPR in the tank, 2zz injectors, and Greddy e-manage should set you up just fine. Turbo wise, the T series are ok, but GT series are much better. GT25R is my turbo of choice, fast spooling on a 1.5L. Good for up to 240hp if you decide to build the bottom end up. Oil return line... very tough to do on a transverse mount engine, especially when it has a .5" oil pan. You have to tap the lower engine girdle. The biggest issue being the axles. Be sure to mock up your line while the car is on all 4's, try jacking it up and putting ramps under all 4 tires. This way you can see where the axles are when the car is on the ground. The angle of the oil return is very important, and very tough to get right on these cars with the limited room. If you have to use any 90 degree bends, make sure none of the straights are perpendicular with the ground. Be sure to use 1/2 - 5/8's line for the return. The return line is often passed up, but is extrememly important... high flow in, and low flow out will result in blown seals. This can make boost go crazy, and oil can be passed in the intake and exhaust. Use an oil restrictor fitting on the oil INLET to minimize any risks, turbos need relatively low oil pressure to survive... 15-20lbs is more than enough.

This makes sense for me since that is what we run on our big car and will be easier for me. The mockup starts this weekend and I will post the good and the bad. Also, what is everyone's opinion on the best first event to go to on the east coast? Thanks

hey i think u should go to the hin event coming up in april..... ill be going to that with my xB, not turboed but ull have some goodies...... keep me posted on the kit..... would you be willing to replicate the kit if it proves bigger numbers than the stock hp? let me know what you decide.......
