can someone go out and drive and let me know where each gear tops out at? or make a video...cuz i own a tC and i believe u xb guys have a different gear ratio that the tC allowing you to have longer gears...if im right that will open up a whole new ball game for tCs, and turbo xBs..thanks i hope i get a response soon

I'm not sure they are geared any different if the transmission is the same as for model or pn. Also good luck with someone risking a ticket jut to do wot runs and figure out gear ratios. I think a little research on tranmission part number/model would be a better route for comparison. Either way they are still pretty short. Good luck.

That sounds about right given the size and utility of the XB2. You may benefit more from a raised rev limit. It all depends what kind of driving are you going to do. If its a better ratio combined with a raised rev limit might be interesting.

speedo readings @ 3000rpm
1st/15mph 2nd/27mph 3rd/40mph 4th/55mph 5th/70mph

assuming 6000rpm.
1st/30mph 2nd/54mph 3rd/80mph 4th/110mph 5th/140mph.

hope this helps

i'm pretty sure the owner's manual tells you the maximum possible speed in each gear.

I thought I heard somewhere that the xB2 governs at 103... is that not true? I got mine to 100 or 101, but not any further. I cant quite remember what rpm I was running at, but it doesnt seem like my second gen will do more than 130 or 135. correct me if I am off please

so the xb2 is drag limited versus the tc being being electronically limited at another 3 mph.

does that mean that the xb2 doesn't have a govenor on it like the tc does?

A long time back there was a thread and I believe the general consensus was that there was a limiter at 127MPH... Something like that

I have done 125 in mine and still felt like it had more in it.

So it goes at least 125 that we know of so far? I really need to find a spot around ALB, NM where I can get to 125... :lalala:

they prolly changed the govenor on ours to slightly lower. the manufacuers do this because of the type of tires that is on the car and also our xb is not as racy as a Tc.
