Erik and I are moving....


Not to Guam this time! But to Vancouver We are headed for a little bit of a slow down and I put in for my transfer officially today! I requested they make it happen within the next 3 months so we'll see how it goes

I'll let everyone know more as it gets closer because y'all know we'll have a wicked awesome party when we make the move for a going away party and then a wicked awesome welcome to the block party when we make it down there too!

Party on........we really know how to party......Mike alone can entertain for hours......then you get me and Larry going......well we cannot even post up the pictures here.......then ad in Brad and the rest of the crew and god it gets fun.........and that is before we start drinking.......lol

sooooo it looks like I got the job at Intel in the Portland area so today I'm giving my notice at my beloved Microsoft

intel is a great place to work my mother spent about 18 years there b4 she retired and my oldest sister is about to retire from intel.
our family moved here from the silicon valley when intel first started here in aloha.

What's really going to suck is that in addition to receiving a pay cut, you'll also have to pay state income taxes in Oregon - whereas you don't if you work in Washington... so that's going to decrease your pay ANOTHER 5-7%.

 

No income taxes in WA?? Guess they get you in the end somehow.
No sales tax in OR, but there is in WA.

 

word on the street is that if I live in WA I get most if not all of it back, so I'm down with that, whatever wants to add to my yearly February shopping spree is cool with me.
