View Full Version : Weapon R Engine Damper Kit ? gwtc 01-02-2005, 05:25 AM I was surfing the net and I found this: http://www.eautoworks.com/html/ORD-1-1-1-25406.cfm, what do you guys think? will these really work? thanks for any feed back. mahalzkita28 01-02-2005, 06:44 AM yea it works i got it on my car. it GREATLY reduces the engine movement which in turn gets rid of wheel hop and gives more power to the wheel. also when you slam through the gears mis-shifts are history. Joe_Dezod 01-02-2005, 03:56 PM I didn't know this was out already. Guess after my wheels I'm buying that. smurf3642 01-02-2005, 04:27 PM Is it worth buying for an automatic?? franktherank 01-02-2005, 11:46 PM Is it worth buying for an automatic?? me too. is it worth it? Joe_Dezod 01-02-2005, 11:57 PM do you have wheel hop? blue_ink_tc 01-03-2005, 01:22 AM how hard is the install and mahalzkita28 could u post some pics please gwtc 01-03-2005, 08:29 PM Yeah, pics please :) . Gmoney 01-03-2005, 08:46 PM i wanna see pics first. mahalzkita28 01-04-2005, 07:14 PM hey everyone sorry it took so long to get the pix. i been busy with all the family stuff for the holidays but i got around to taking them of the engine damper and ignition equilizer from WR. its on my car domain, hope it helps. http://www.cardomain.com/id/mytcnme WeaponR_Ray 01-06-2005, 05:25 AM I would like to make it clear, this item has not been released yet. The products seen on mahalzkita28's car are all prototypes. The Ignition Equalizer and Secret Weapon Intake are the only products available at the moment. DouBLeJ16 01-13-2005, 10:45 AM did this product stop all wheel hop? CMoney 01-13-2005, 03:50 PM hey everyone sorry it took so long to get the pix. i been busy with all the family stuff for the holidays but i got around to taking them of the engine damper and ignition equilizer from WR. its on my car domain, hope it helps. http://www.cardomain.com/id/mytcnme I see you've got headers and a CAI on your car - do you have an aftermarket exhaust? Did you get the check engine light and running lean that other people got with the CAI? Joe_Dezod 01-13-2005, 05:45 PM One potential problem I see with the dampener. Can an upper strut bar still be installed in addition to this? My Hotckis bar looks to go over right where that dampener is. With the added thickness of both I'm not sure if that's good for the pillow studs or not... Just curious? mahalzkita28 01-13-2005, 05:58 PM ive got a magnaflow axel back exhaust. and no i dont get a CEL the car runs perfectly. and yea, you probably wouldnt be able to use the strut bar. but the strut bar is mostly for looks on our cars anyway, the strut towers are so close to the firewall there wont be much flex. i think the engine damper would do more for your car becuase you can launch way better xnevergiveinx 01-14-2005, 07:26 AM do you have to drill anything to install the damper? xnevergiveinx 01-18-2005, 03:59 AM bump~! mahalzkita28 01-18-2005, 06:09 AM no you dont, the kit just bolts on to the existing bolts in the strut tower WeaponR_Ray 02-02-2005, 10:20 PM The tC Engine Damper is now available. We just got a small batch in from the factory, and will be receiving more at the end of the month. http://www.clubsciontc.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=20408#20408 mikochu 02-02-2005, 10:47 PM That one bracket for the tC kit look like they were welded by a blind quadriplegic...without a lower jaw. Otocan 02-03-2005, 06:46 AM That one bracket for the tC kit look like they were welded by a blind quadriplegic...without a lower jaw. omg i'm still laughting hahahahahaahahahahaa and how much does that cost? looks like pieces of metal welded together, hope it has a nice price Gambit7 02-03-2005, 09:22 AM We still don't have a answer about automatics yet? smurf3642 02-03-2005, 05:58 PM We still don't have a answer about automatics yet? I'm still waiting for my answer... i hope it helps for automatics and hope the price is low. WeaponR_Ray 02-04-2005, 08:53 PM Works fine for autos. $250 MSRP....The welds are being fixed. Hudnut 02-04-2005, 09:17 PM a friend of mine had solid motor mounts for his z24 cavi. they really did make it feel like more torque was hittin the ground, but man it made the ride rough. the car vibrated pretty harshly. |
