I bought the Enkei wheels when I bought my car and they put 205/40/17s on them.

Personally, I'd go with 215/40/17. That is the closest to the stock diameter (diameter difference of only 0.13%). If you go with a tire size that is too far off from stock, it will throw off your speedometer & odometer (unless you get it recalibrated), and you could potentially run the risk of break failure (or so I've read).

Brake failure? Common, this is the first i have ever heard of this, and i was selling tires/wheels before it got popular with the import scene. If you drive a Chevy S10, and go from a 15" wheel, to a 17" with 35" tires, then yeah, you may have braking issues.

I have the 215/45R17s, and love them. The speedo isnt that far off either, not enough to worry about anyway.

Will a 235 even fit on a 7 in wide wheel? Thought you needed 7.5 for 225+
