Can anyone please write up a list of parts to do a full brake job (Fronts & Back?)
All I know is rotors, pads, fluid? Plus, I want to update to slotted/drilled rotors.

My cousin wants to do the installation and I want to make sure he has everything; he'll need.

The other question is?

What is the difference of TRD High Performance Brake pads (Part# PTR09-20001-30) and TRD Front Set Pads (Part# PTR01-21050-34?) TRD's site described both pads the SAME?

Hammer to smack off the front rotors. SS Brake lines if you want to do a "FULL" brake job.
And better pads. Axis or Hawk are good. Look into 'Slotted/Dimpled' rotors as opposed to drilled.

if he doesn't know what he needs then he shouldn't be doing a brake job...

If you bothered to read correctly, you would see that the OP is female. :lalala:

People post questions all the time. Sure, a search might have yielded some results.
But the search feature here on SL isn't all that good. This is the only site that
I know of that has 2 search boxes at the top of the page. And neither one work great.

Yes, the last time I went to the bathroom. I was a girl. Yes, I do have above average knowledge than the typical female on how to use tools BUT do I trust myself doing my brakes? No. I rather be shown first before experimenting on the next job. Therefore, my mechanical brainy cousin is doing my brakes for me. Since I don't want to feel like a idiot and forget important things, I asked a simple list.

depends on what your replacing if its just the pads or the rotors?

if your just doing pads then:

pads
brake lube
you may also want to get lube for the caliper pistons as well..make sure they're able to slide back and forth easily

and maybe some locktite for the caliper bracket bolts. I used the weaker one (blue i think?) so it will still be easy to take off next time. the industry (i believe) is now using loctite on just about everything for safety reasons so i was put into habit about using it at school in my auto courses lol

thats about it really? maybe some new rotors or take your rotors down to kragen or something and have them turned
