I'm looking to buy an in-dash navigation and wanted to make sure I got everything before I order:

I just really want to know if I needed the In-Dash Receiver Kit, I thought DIN was a standard size

DIN is the standard size.. the scion has a slightly larger double din opening.. meaning.. 2 din's high.. but if you look the opening is not the same shape as a double-din radio.. you will have gaps on either side if you do not attach those brackets
