Default New headunit: What's causing this buzzing sound?

I installed a new headunit and notice that when switching songs or radio channels a strange high pitched buzz comes through either the speakers or headunit. I don't know how to narrow this down. I took it to my shop and they conducted a test with a multimeter where they touched one end to the ground terminal on my amps and the other end to the door latch and seat rails and the reading came out to 0.00 (however, the stereo wasn't turned on).

I don't know if this should still be investigated with the amps or if the headunit is messed up. Also, the amplifiers' power cord runs in the same conduit as the speaker RCA cables.

Any ideas?

The power and sound feed wires should not run together. It is possible that you are getting the noise from that.

I happens at random times, or at least I notice it at random times. Yes it happens when switching songs and the volume needs to be up.

Any ideas?

If theres nothing playing, but you turn up the volume, does it buzz? It it continuous or intermittent? Try disconnecting the RCAs at the amp and see if it still makes this buzzing noise.

is it a pioneer radio? reground everything and do not disconnect or unplug the rca's while the radio is on

also take a piece of 14-16 gauge wire.. ground it to your radio, and run it to the ground on the amp
