My wife and I have never owned anything but 2 doors, but with a baby on the way, we're now in a situation with our tC. We do not want to trade it in, but has anyone out there ever dealt with a baby seat in a tC?

We're trying to figure out how hard it is to get a kid into the back of the car, or if its legal (in PA) to put a baby seat in the front of the car. Anyone with experience in this area?

We have considered (very reluctantly) to trade the car in on a 4 door, but the dealer offered us a horrible trade of 9500 dollars on a 2007 with only 25k miles on it (in excellent condition). Clearly they were trying to scam us (don't ever deal with Scott dealers in Allentown - this is the second time they tried to rip me off), but I'd rather not trade the car unless I have to. Any help???

i was offered 8000 for my 07 with 16,000 miles on it. I wasn't sure if i should laugh or cry.

but I'm pretty sure you can have a baby seat in the back. I seen somone's tc with a baby seat in the back in this forum, don't remember who it was.

kid in the seat has to be in the back last time I checked the cops had this demonstration outside of work once. It's cause of the airbag if it happens to deploy when a kid is in the front seat it could kill a child. My brothers Tacoma you can turn the airbag off tho.

I've put a baby seat in my car. I use that hook on the trunk floor to secure it. I think that's what it's for anyway.. Kind of a hassle putting it in and taking it out, but it works. I just usually go through the hatch and not the door. That seems to work a bit better.

getting an infant into the car seat in the back is not really that hard to do.......the seats pull forward enough to get into the back seat area very easy, think the entire time my son used a car seat it never left the car......so just go with it.......no need to trade away your car for something with 4 doors and then you will be unhappy with later down the road.

I have had carseats in Cameros,GTOs, and even a VW superbeatle........of all of them the tC has much better access to the back seat.....keep your car.

theres no problems with a car seat in the back. I bought my car early in 2006 when my son was a year and a half old, he'll be 5 this year and I've never had any problems getting him in or out.

Do not put a car seat in the front seat. A big no no with the front passenger air bag.
