oh god, please dont. thats one area you can be cheap when it comes to modding. if you want a turbo, do it right and dont buy it from eBay.

 

Considering you admittely know nothing abuot modding you don't want to jump straight into a turbo setup. Browse around the forced induction sections of the forums and do your research first. there are plenty of stickied threads that have a lot of good info.

So make sure you do your research and find out for sure that you want to go turbo. Also the guys from dezod.com can be a big help to you. Look em up and take your time.

oh and also - do not boost on a budget!

 

Boosting on a budget makes for expensive problems very quickly......most stuff on ebay is not going to be any good and most would not put it on their cars due to quality issues.

Check the forum for Forced induction and spend a good month just reading......then read more......that is how you can learn what is good and what is junk.

Hmmm....before you do get flammed....I understand your learning but like when everyone starts out reSEARCH is invovled with any type of modding cars, ESPECIALLY turbocharging a vehicle...

Search, Read, Read, Search Search.....

Then ask questions on what your unsure of....

But TuRD Supercharger causes people a lot of problems so search that
Greddy Kit is consider the best bang for the buck kit....
Vulcan kit is new but havent heard anything bad

Dezod and TubroToyotas i would look at since you have unlimited budget!!! Mind sharing hahaha

is the power necessary? id spend the money on suspension and wheels if its for the wifey?

Stay away from anything TRD!!! Well just the supercharger. TRD is actually nice, their superchargers ARENT!! But get used to the engine first before you boost. Or trade the car in and get her an Si!

Ya, its for the Wife. I thought she woulda liked it. I am about to order her a set of pink rims, but havent seen any good ones. Maybe I am just blind or pink is too rare. I don't feel like painting it.

 

She would like a turbo? Nah dude, if anything she would be annoyed at the noise it makes. And dont do pink rims please, you wouldnt want your wife to be riding around on a cheap, cheesy looking car. If she isnt into cars like that, leave it stock.

the Greddy kit is good but it only works on a manual tranny and the kit needs a fuel management to work, thats my two cents
