I want to mount my radar detector above my rear view mirror and run the cord under the headliner and down the side of the car under the dash to the cigartte lighter. I dont wanna make it a permanent peice of my car. my question is... How do you remove the panel next to the windshield? I didnt wanna go trying to remove it and mess it up.

Just grab it from the top and pull.

no, dont' remove the headliner.. you can tuck teh wire under the edge using a screwdriver or putty knife. then once you get to the a pillar, you can just pull that off and run the wire down into the dash.

but you don't have to remove the headliner

Oh crap, I was talking about the A pillar panels when I said you should just grab and pull. I'd just tuck the wire under the headliner.

If you remove the visors and the rearview mirror and the apillars, you can get some slack in the headliner to tuck your wire under. Just be careful...

oK, I was asking because I'll be installing sirius radio tonight and the reciver will go on the back of the car . So I guess I'll tuck the wire under the headliner. Thanks for the pointers!!

no, run the wire under stuff, not in the headliner lol.. run it in the stock wire harness location on the driver's side floor
