Default Automatic or Manual with turbo or supercharger

I know I want the Black Sand Pearl xA. I know what rims I want on it. I know fiberglass and have drawn out plans of what I want the custom speaker and video enclosures to look like. I am going to install a pc in the car. I'm also considering a turbo or supercharger.

Should I get Manual or Automatic? I never tried a manual. From what I know, Automatic's strong points are that you don't have to shift, and you can have cruise control, something I use. Manual lets you shift when you want, and car show judges and peers prefer manuals. Can I have the turbo or supercharger with an automatic? How would the gas milage be affected with a turbo or supercharger.

Based on what I told you, what do you suggest I get? Personally, I'm kind of timid about the manual and think about it as a step back, considering my car will have some pretty advanced stuff in it. People tell me though, that they love being able to shift when they want with manual. All I know is I get car sick when I ride with them!

Choosing a transmission depends greatly on your driving environment and your habits. Imo, I wouldn't give much thought to what the judges score, but instead to what would work best for my situation.

Example = Drive in stop and go traffic, up hills and parallel parking (a la San Francisco) and you'll be cursing the day you bought a stick.

If you're going for an automatic, It's best to stick with a supercharger. Especially with all that extra weight you'll add from the equipment, you'll need the low end torque to haul it all. Turbo systems are best matched with manual trannys.

All I know is I get car sick when I ride with them!
Driving a manual and sitting in the passenger seat of one is two different experiences. You should just test drive one and see for yourself if manual is right for you.

Since you are asking about turbos and superchargers go with the manual. The manual is quicker to 60 MPH and in the 1/4 mile than the Auto... and we aren't talking just tenth's of a second either.

go with the auto, it doesn't seem like you want to go fast anyways. i think the auto would be better because you're more comfortable with it.
