hey guys, im considering buying the items in the title( trd shocks and hotchkis)... but i looked in the tech section and couldnt find a DIY for shocks on the tC... and also how do u think this setup would work? any other opinions input appreciated.

That's the spring install instructions, also includes the strut removal / install by default. This shows it being done on stock struts though, but same process to replace stocks with TRDs.
Be aware, it's not as simple as they make it sound to compress the springs, especially on TRD struts. They show a shop type spring compressor, not the type you'd likely rent from your local auto parts store. I have one of the ones in the photos, and even with that it's a biatch to get Hotchkis springs on TRD struts. On stock struts, much easier.

My buddy has tein s-techs on his car, and hes helping me with the install... but the struts/shocks im buying already have the hotckis on the struts... so i dont think it to be 2 hard?

but how do u think that set up will be, trd w hotchkis?

If you're just swapping the struts / springs as a complete unit, it's a piece of cake. Just follow those Hotchkis directions, and skip all the parts about removing and installing the springs.
I have this same combo - plus Hotchkis sways, camber links, and strut bar. I think you'll like it, especially the look of the drop compared to the 4 X 4 stock look. I dropped mine almost as soon as I got it (4 yrs and 85,000 miles ago), so I don't even remember what it drove like stock, to give you an idea of how it compares. It's better - don't worry. Good choice.

+1, that is a good setup. If the dude knows how to do the springs then it should be easy.
