Ok I need to vent. I was in a 2 way street before, and I needed to U-Turn. So I pulled into someones driveway to back out and turn around. On the way out of the driveway I hear this loud metal scraping/scratching sound.

And that is the story of how my 6 week old tC front bumper got all scratched up on the bottom.

The End.

ouch, how about when they were pulling my car off the truck at the dealership, they scrapped some parts of the bottom lip of the bumper lol

mine had ZERO miles on it and the paint was already scratched

Were these cars lowered or standard ride height?

Hey you think since we are such a sue-happy country, I could sue the owners of that home for having a crappy drive way? LOL - that would be hilarious.

The scrapes are not too bad. Some touch up paint will do the trick. You cant see it unless you look underneath.

lol. cars settle so more likely to scrape after a period of time. it's all in the approach and descent when it comes to driving. u guys cant be too great if it's happening with a stock ride height car. lol all of my previous cars have been lowered around 2 inches and i rarely scrape but whenever i do man do i grit my teeth somethin firece. my supra was a challenge dropped over 2 inches in the front with a long wide front bumper that thing stretched so far past the front wheels that wasnt fun but it thot me how to properly drive lowered cars and i'm thankful for that

Im normally very careful when it comes to inclined driveways. But I kinda let me guard down this time because I was late for a doctors appointment and was in a hurry.

So I will try to pick up some touch up paint today at the dealership. How much does it cost? A rip off I bet, since it is a dealership afterall.

Yeah I was kinda mad when I heard the scrapping sound when they took it off the truck...

I turned and looked at my friend (who sold me the car) I just stared and he starting shaking his head.

It sucked, but nonetheless it's still a nice ride, you can barely see the scuffs, you gotta really get on your hands and knees and look under haha

I know dog. It still hurts. I curbed the underside of my bumper on an overly-high parking log the day after I bought it.

It's underneath, and you can't see the scratches... But YOU know it's there, and it SUCKS!

old people should have their licenses taken away..

I suspect that your attitude will change as you age.

BTW, Google the statistics. If you really want to reduce accidents by taking the licenses of a particular group of drivers, the best group to attack would be males, 16-24!

Here's a good article on the topic:
