Default What is the Gen 2 manual shifter thread size?

I'd like to change out my shifter **** but have no clue what the size is. I bought one that said "One size fits most" and it wasn't even close, way too small. What thread size do I need? I looked all over and couldn't find it.

Cheers

I have been wondering this myself so I took my tap and die set out to the car. The M8 1.25 die fit (I have an automatic but I believe they're both the same).

The automatic is not the same size as the manual. There is a HUGE difference. I have a manual and my dad has an automatic and they are not even close.

But I still need to know...
