I have a friend at work that currently owns an '04 R32 and is trying to get me to sell the Box and switch to VW! I'd love to but I won't, LOVE the Box too much!

GTIs are nice. My brother just bought one and it is a lot of fun to drive. German versions of GTIs also include the one with S3 setup pushing like 320hp at crank.

But hands down, Genesis Coupe is the next big tuner car, and it is RWD. Nice! I am definitely thinking about getting one this summer. Unfortunately Toyota is left behind for at least the next two years in the tuner market.

i don't know why some people hate on the dsg. vw has the transmission nailed down. i think the only question out there is how long it will last, but vw was the original maker of the twin clutch transmission. doesn't the TT have the same transmission?

 

my buddy has dsg in his gti with 260hp and 310tq and beats the ____ outta it daily no problems to date and he has 40k

 

the dsg tranny is great there are guys on vwvortex running them at over 100k with no problems..the only thing is that u have to change the fluids every 40-50k which is acceptable...but really well engineered.


hell if the DSG tranny is on the fastest production car (Bugatti Veyron) in the world its good in my book..

vws are very reliable now..they have 2 engines that are in the top ten best engine of the year...the 2.0T and 2.0TDI clean diesel which won green car of the year...vw is on pace and catching toyota. they have said they will be #1 by 2015

I dont hate the DSG! Its good I just like a clutch pedal! it lets me know im in control and lets me know i do know how to drive!
