Hey Guys/Gals!

I want to start a poll to find out what you guys think about our name.

I have been approached by a few members asking wether we could remove the word "team" from the name. In all honesty I agree with the arguments given to me, such as:

* The word team is really not needed since WE all know we are a "team"
* The word team is more of a young, showoff type of deal "Yeah I am part of TEAM NRG and what?? :evil: "

and things along those lines. Personally my vote is Yes! Lets remove it, but I want to be fair and see what you guys think. The poll will be up for a week so make sure you vote and let the other member know about it, also whatever your vote is please give a quick explanation as to why you answered yes or no.

I like it both was, but feel that ScioNRG comes off the tongue better and sounds a bit more professional....

my vote, lets retire the Team....thanks for your service to our name, you will be deeply missed.

The term 'TEAM' always implies a competition. As in this team vs. that team….
I don’t think it is a mature or sophisticated why of representing ourselves. (note: we are a self described group of immature and non-sophisticated people, but we don’t need to let the others know this…)

if someone sees ScioNRG, they have NO clue what it is. You leave the word Team there, and they understand! I say KEEP "Team"!!!

1- i just had screens & tshirts printed up that say team scionrg--they are hot t's!! pics of them in my yahoo photo album!!!
2- we are a team=group of scion nuts who are competing against other 'car clubs' at events
3- being called a 'car club' is ___! where's the disco lights & dance floor for our cars!?!?!
4- proud to be on team vs a ___ car club
5- the t shirts!!!!!!!!! and other future products for our members & supporters to purchase!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the shirts and what not, can be collector items when(if) the team is dropped.
the ‘team’ nomenclature instills feelings of conflict and confrontation.

I do agree that ‘car club’ sounds ___, but I also feel that ‘team’ is just as bad..

Which sounds better to you? "Wanna join ScioNRG?" or "Wanna join Team ScioNRG?" I prefer the latter...

and to answer your question, I prefer "Team ScioNRG is here to rule the world!"

I SAY KEEP IT!! I AGREE WITH JENNAY AND THE REST OF THE "KEEP IT" VOTERS!!! i think it implies a notion of group and togetherness. it sounds better too.

i've never called our bunch 'team scionrg', just 'scionrg'
the team part sounds like a desperate plea to be a part of something.
like irsh said, it's like tring to be the cool group from high school.

and if you look at the logo on the back of the shirts Jennay had made, where does it say team???

either be consistant, if its team then it should be everywhere.
why on the front does it say team, but then on the back it does not???
why on the arm does it not say 'team pres.' or' team vice-pres.' or 'team chapter prez' (beacuse it sounds stupid....)

and for those that say 'team scionrg' makes it so people will know who we are. i like to think that if it just said 'scionrg' people might ask what scionrg is and that would open up the conversation to explain who we are and what we do.

Team sounds formal, and come on now... we are the most informal group out there. I like to consider some of our group as friends, the team kind of takes away from that.

i like ScioNRG BUT I amup for whatever...hey is there any way i can get one of those t-shirts for my car show so that this company sponsoring can maybe make some and sell them or use it to recruit people for the group...hit me up SCIONRG

As the polls show...it was a very close...but the decision has been made and the "Team" part will stay in the name. I know some of you prefer not to have it but if you think about it the ones that don't want the name already drop the "team" part...so keep on doing that... :wink: :D

well, it's with! In the meeting, we all said "Team" when we were talking about the group as a whole. Therefore, why wouldn't we keep it?!
