one of my customers installs superchargers on old rat rods, he told me that the Paxton rep recomends the goodyear gatorback cross cut belt fro the least amount of slippage at higher rpms,
So i was running that @ 7 and 9.5 psi, now my tuner told me to go with the gates.

I then went to the gates website and discovered a gates "racing" belt k070896rb .

Does anyone have any experience with either of these with the 12 pound pulley?

BTW the gates racing belt is stupidly expensave, like 149.99 + ship

 

wow, $150 for a belt!? That is crazy
I am using 9.5 pulley now. My previous Gates belt was shredded because of bad idle pulley.
My current $25 Gates belt is running pretty good.

If i was in your shoes, i would just get the cheap Gates belt.
Let's hope NST people can give some ideas.
