Friend needs help he is going to get the TRD Short Shifter but wants to know if its worth it or should he go with a aftermarket one. If he should which one do you recomend?

trd shifter... its a good buy... tightens the shift pattern but not too much... dont buy it from the dealer unless youre looking for something to burn your $50 gift card from tfs.... check out www.toyotapartsworld.com good prices unless youre shipping it to alaska or something.

i never liked short shifter becasue they feel too tight, but when i installed the trd one for my xb, it felt normal, meaning easy to shift and shorter throws. i would recommend it.

Get the TRD unit.

All the other brands out there (are there even any?) are just metal rods..the TRD setup gives you a whole new shifter ASSEMBLY. It feels totally different than just "Cutting it" down.

And, it's TRD...c'mon, this is OEM quality we are talking about.
