will the airbags work if i get new seats?

 

I think the airbags are built into the seats.

 

airbags built into seats??? i dont know about that . . . your air bag is in the middle portion of your steering wheel, if you change to an aftermarket steering wheel (except TRD) than you have no airbags but if you change ur passenger seat than the passenger airbag wont work due to there not being a sensor in ur aftermarket seat. Now im not a genius and i might be wrong but that just sounds right to me. if anyone knows better, please correct

 

oh and i think it wasnt clear, ur airbag will still work, but not ur passenger airbag

 

ohh ok but i think the sensor is in the stock passenger seat so you think i ri it out and place it in the new seat it should work

There are indeed airbags built into the seats, you can get on Scion's website and they have a little video about all of the airbags in the xB.

I am not sure what kind of seats or what exactly you are looking for but you could always get the Clazzio seat covers Click Here they are even airbag compatible. Then you don't have to worry about the airbag in the seats or the sensors
