Default anyone know how to install headrest monitors?

so i bought these headrest monitors today, and it looks like the wires are coming out of one of the legs... so my question is.. where would i supply power for it without having it go directly to the battery and how would i get the wires through my seats? thanks!

Yeah they look confusing but you just have to bring the wire down the seat side or back, which requires you unhooking the hog rings to get your arm safely up there and pull them down and run the wires up the center column, there is a power source in the fuse panel under dash that is on when car is turned on and off when it is off, lots of inside lights get hooked up to it.

they are an easy install but timely to get all the wires cleanly to their locations.

underneath the seat cushions. It's what holds the seat covers together.
Hog rings are like a heavy duty staple.

I think Doug is having a mini-install day this weekend.

another way to route wires without undoing the upholstery is to use a bendy rod (fiberglass rod, flexibly metal) to pull the wires down. Essentially you'd carefully push the rod through the top holes, down to the floor (softly! don't poke through anything) then tape the cords to the rod and pull the rest of the way out the bottom.

I have those clear tubing. They are pretty sturdy. You can just run the wires through the tubing and then pull the tube out.

don't be intimidated, it's real easy to do..

just like others have said, just run the wires down into the seats using some form of stiff (yes i said stiff) bendy item like a hangar or fiberglass pole & tape the wires on and there you go.. once you get them to bottom of the seats, it's a piece of cake from there

what im worried about is, will i be poking through the foam inside the seat? from top to bottom? is it two piece or is it holo in the middle?

angle it just right id think you'd be able to run it right down the along the back of the seat fabric.. may show a "cable line" tho... but kinda think the back of the seats are not solid foam
at least not all the way down... go out and push on the backs of your seat...get a idea of how much foam and other padding is back there

the cables can be pushed through if you have a push stick it will feed through the faom all the way to the bottom, but it is gonna be hard to get the stick out of the bottom.I use them for running wires through ceilings at work and they only flex so far.....best way to do it through thefoam is to take out seats.

Davd bring it by the house it will takes us 20 minutes to get the wires down. I also have an idea for power too. That will take a little longer, but it is all doable. Give me a call. Actually why didn't you call me earlier on this. I told you I would help

If I knew you guys were going to be working on installs tomorrow I would have brought my fogs back from K-Falls. I thought you guys were doing an install on Sunday.

Me and David did the install today. Was a lot easier than I expected.
There's a huge cavity in the seatback and the wires just drop straight down.
Then it's just a 12V and ground wire and RCA inputs.
