ok, I have cash for one or the other. they both will be done at some point but I would like feedback on which one you would go with first. I have 18" rims with 215/35/18 tires sitting stock height. I am looking at either the Tein S-Tech or Tanabe NF210 springs or an Injen short ram intake. let me know what you think, I want to order something tomorrow(Thursday).

I would suggest getting lowering springs since a) you get an immediate visual change which is nice, and b) you also feel a difference when cornering as well.

I suggest the springs as well. You'll get more satisfaction from the improved look then the small performance gain.

Springs since you get the best bang for your buck with them and with the rims you have it will dramatically change your car for the better :D

Also go with Tanabe.

Get the springs as you already have 18's, then get the intake. I'm rolling on the stock alloys so I went with the intake, just sent for springs last week. Hopefully now that I'm working full time I'll be able to get 17"s soon, but I'll probably end up getting a muffler from another SL member here in AZ...

I kinda was leaning towards the springs myself. that's it, I made up my mind, springs it is. :D . now Tein or Tanabe, ugh. :?

Get the OneTonGarge spacers shims too with the springs. They are only $65 shipped and they bring the rear wheels out enough to take away that sunken in look. It's easy to do at the same time as the springs.

No way bro, i gotta disagree with you on that I think it looks good being tucked and sunken, plus you wont have to worry about rubbing when you pile some fat chicks in the back

Unless you go with huge wheels or too much off set it won't rub.

If you pile fat chicks in your car frequently then spend your money on good DARK window tint! :D

Springs first, then intake.

Intakes are great but not quite as noticeable of a difference as the springs, the tC has a totally different attitude with good springs
youll "gain power" by losing "power squat" and enhance looks and greatly increase stability in corners!
plus there are a lot of good springs available already where as the intakes are jsut starting to come out, id wait to get an intake til there are more options with brands and variations

springs..

the benefits of springs (from an autoX standpoint) outweigh the 2hp gain from an intake 100:1

gotta go with the springs first. :D Lowered ride first than the intake. 8)

don't forget that installing springs also means a near future investment in a new set of shocks.

ya see when you lower it, youll get your intake closer to the ground. and warm air rises so with a lowered care you'll get colder air which inturn will get u more hp..

Eh.. dunno. i was just tryin to make an excuse to say "SPRINGS"

well, i got my exhaust first, bout to get springs, if u drop it alot itll look nice, and u can see a big difference, but if u want to turn heads then get a loud exhaust itll attract alotta attention.it all depends on what u want, if u have rims already, then its time to slam itm, otherwise i say exhaust
