Default Which colored carbon fiber hood

I am very curious as to how the color carbon fiber hood will look in my tc. I thought about getting the normal black carbon fiber hood. But I just dont like the off color from my midnight color tc.
I am looking for a subtle change in color which is why am going with a colored hood.

Options

Blue/ Black
http://www.deftracing.com/carbon_fib...d_color_cf.htm

Royal Blue

Here is my tc that I want this for

what color do u think will give it the most subtle look?

Your car is very dark to begin with, even if you went with uncolored cf it would be very subtle.

Hmmm, now looking at the pics more closely, you are right, a normal cf might work. Just not sure how subtle it will be during bright day light

Does anyone have any experience with the color CF, especially with deft racing?

Was never a fan of the dyed CF. Just go with a regular one

Hey, has anyone have any experience buying from Deft racing. I dont like the idea that they dont have any contact info apart from joing their mailing list, which doesnt even work.

If people have bad experience, I will probably go with a regular carbon fiber hood.

As i lil background, the main reason for going with a new hood is that i have a lotta rock chips on my current hood due to my frequent highway trips in kc. And people ask quoting me more than$1500 just to repaint. outrageous.

So I want the closest thing to my original color without having to repaint

it'd be cheaper to have your hood repainted than buying a cf hood

You got quoted $1500 to repaint a hood?

Ouch.

Get quotes elsewhere because that is FAR more than it should be. I'd pay a couple hundred for a repaint tops. Keep shopping.

But i'd go for the cf one just cause it's a nice show piece

Either route, get yourself a clear bra for the new hood so you don't have this problem any more.

solid body color. leaving it exposed to me is just rice. maybe part of it exposed but the whole thing is kinda tacky anyway

I like ur retrofit, u do have one right unless my sidekick is playing dirty tricks on me lol.

I personally like "regular" cf, but looking at it more and more the royal blue looks pretty good

I would say stop by if you were local. I could paint the CF effect on your car and lay clear coat on there to make it look like glass.

Ha ha, there are no tricks there, It a tsx retrofit, still holding strong after a year and half.
Anyways, I will search a more for shop prices. Just have too much deep rock chips for this to be a cheap job.

yeah men, too bad. am all the way in Seattle. But the only reason for going with CF in the first place was so that I wouldnt have to do any repaint.

Now, does anyone know of any good shops around the seattle area that gives reasonable prices on paint?

I'll be doing it to a 96 Civic this Wednesday. Just spray a black base, followed by silver, then graphite, and then clear.
