The hatch garnish on my FM tC is broke (yes, I used to open the hatch by lifting it ) and replacing it with a badgeless one was on my list of mods to do this summer... but after witnessing the debacle with iKona obviously that's not an option... so where can I get badgeless and preferably pre-painted badgeless hatch garnishes?

I'd seen his name along with that eBay seller that he was buying from... is Flea selling them painted or unpainted?

 

if you wanted a painted one, try PMing him, but dont cross your fingers, ask him first

if you want unpainted or CF one, try ebay

 

if you want a carbon fiber one, http://www.bbist.com offers one of the better ones on the market.

Yea I think you're correct... You still may be able to pick one up on Ebay, and have him paint it for you though... GL!

 

i hope so. ive seen his work and it's some of the best ive seen for our cars. i too myself was planning on getting a badgeless garnish this summer as well.

Nope...sorry, fat chance. Only a few people are getting these. I offered to release them to the public and everyone is trying to talk down the price...especially for painted ones.

As I stated before, the ones that want these I'll help out. There is no negotiation in price. You don't go to a bodyshop and ask for a car to get painted and then turn around and say "Can you hook me up?" or "I'll pay you $30 - $70 to get it done."

 

Well how much are you charging? Trust me, I understand the value of hard work and I've heard great things about yours so I'm more than willing to pay a little extra especially since I really do need this piece.

Actually considering what others have charged in the past for filled garnishes and painted, that's a pretty good deal....

 

It might be a little more then what the shady guy in your neighborhood will charge you for paint, but at least you KNOW it will be perfect!

my cousin got his front bumper painted for 80 bucks, through a friend of his, and it looked pretty damm good, 2 months later and it looks worse then it did before the repaint! lol
