Default New tC Owner Here (Pictures Inside)

Picked up this new tC last week, I previously had a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee V6 so going from that to a little car like the tC, especially being that's a 5 speed is like night and day. I love the car it drives great, my boyfriend taught me how to drive manual in his 300ZX Twin Turbo at first and I'm getting better, I can hold my own now.

It's a lease so I can't do any permanent mods, is there anything affordable that I can do as far as looks? I've been looking at some used wheels and a few little mods like HIDs and some interior stuff. If I can do anything that can be changed back at the end of the lease and is reasonably affordable let me know.

I can't stand the tail lights or the grille so I want to change those for maybe the older tail lights and a blank grille.

On to the pics!

Thanks for looking!

Congrats!! I remember when I first got my tC. I went from my parents Caravan to the much smaller tC and I had some trouble with the tight steering the first couple of days.

You could definitely do any of the TRD mods under your lease (turbo, springs, etc).

If you don't like the look of the grille, check out my cardomain page in the sig. That is a really easy and cheap mod and you can replace the stock grille whenever you need to. I also replaced the lower grill later, but never took pics of it.

Enjoy!

congrats, have fun with it and keep in mind that anything that can bolt-on can be "bolt-off" so that leaves you a lot of options

Thanks for the fast replies, might have my boyfriend try to make a custom grille like the one priory has. I probably won't be doing many performance mods since according to my boyfriend "it's not worth it without dumping a few grand into it". I don't have a lot of money to spend on the car. I like the original tC tail lights, the red ones with the clear reverse light.

Yeah I have been looking can anyone suggest any good sights for tc parts, everything I've been finding it super ricey and expensive for the quality of the product.

welcome to the site.

since it's a lease, i wouldn't really recomend doing a lot to it. maybe just the older tails, a vrd grille, and a slight drop.

Merrick (Long Island)

I don't know if I want to do a drop because I horseback ride and would have a hard time getting into my barn with a drop.

get color matched eyelids and a redout third brake light decal from bluebatmobile.net, they're easily removable, and inexpensive, and can really set the car off

welcome :D

I dont know if I misunderstood the lease agreement but because the scion was pretty much made to be so customizable as long as I do w.e work I want done at the dealership is doesn't void my warranty or anything like that I have to check tho I thinkkkkk everything has to be trd performance wise if I do any. It's not really worth it for me to do the performance mods because it is a lease. I just dont want a typical oh hey my mommy got me a TC car cause thats not the way I am lol so I want it to be a little unique I'm prob just going to do small things like, we'll see I still have to learn more about the car coming from a jeep is two different worlds

what are you looking to spend?

or how much are you looking to spend at a time?

sometimes people like buying parts 200$ at a time. others drop $3000 to get everything done at once
