Yo wussup guys, i've been asking around to see if i can get some opinions of what paint to use for my new project. Im planning on painting my stockies orange and was wondering what type of paint u guys have used? Duplicolor wheelcoating, engine enamel, or high heat paint? And if you wet sanded it or dry sanded it?

 

I think there are already several threads on painting the stockies.. but from what I understand, you want to dry sand the wheel first - to rough it up. Then you can use pretty much whatever type of automotive paint you want. Just take it slow and be detailed. Finish off with a clear coat and wet sand with 2000 grit.

 

when i wet sand sand it does the paint come off or is that a process to kinda polish the wheels? And how do i wet sand it?
