Who knows when the AEM Cold Air Intake is going to be released.
I'v seen it on a few sites.... all priced around $300. I have no seen it on the AEM site tho. Thats the next mod I'm lookin into. If anyone knows where I can find one, let me know. Or has any help on the subject, again let me know. And yes I know there are other intakes out there, but I want an AEM cold air, not a K+N intake.

I have a sharpie... I can write AEM on it for you. Just kidding. Last thing I heard the AEM intake wasn't released yet for the tC... sorta like that whole supercharger thing... but maybe times have changed and the wait is over. :)

Toyota is still doing emissions testing on that part #PTS026-21050. They have them in stock but aren't ready to be released. I talked to a friend of mine @ Toyota. "WHAT MOVES YOU?!" 8)

well according to AEM it's not out yet, they are still waiting for CARB. http://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=31563&start=50 those sites are prolly just taking preorders.

Thanks, Scion Man. Most dealerships have no clue, and are telling people they're 'on backorder.' It's good to get some real info on here!

I hear that the K&N is the same as the AEM just different stickers or something but personally, I will wait the extra few weeks to get my AEM and keep my warranty intacked. Something abotu paying about the same money for something with a warranty and something without.

That's exactly the same reason I am waiting. K&N makes great products, but I have a 6-year factory warranty I don't want to void, on anything.

A cold air intake doesn't void the warrenty. I have talked with serveral people working at the dealership about this.

they can't void your warranty unless they can prove the intake cause the problem ie: like sucking water into the engine

i have them at work already

Went to dealer today and talked to speicalist he said getting different intake does void your warrenty one the intake and the intake mass flow sensor.

So, my dealer called me yesterday to let me know that they still don't have a release date for the AEM (I hope I got that right) CAI sold as a TRD part because it's caught up in the CARB breauracy.

He was nice enough to ask if I wanted my money back but I said no since I already paid the charge off of my credit card anyways. At least when it's released I'll be sure to have one as I imagine they'll be a surge of demand for them.
