Hey Everyone -

I just want to warn everyone from the Northeast about National Tire and Battery. Specifically the one in Everett, MA.

I ran over a piece of metal the other day. Realizing the metal piece was stuck in the middle of the tread I knew it should be an easy patch. So I called NTB and set up an appointment for 4:00 pm. I showed up 20 minutes early. At 6:30 pm they had yet to even put my car into the garage. I was told several times that "my car was next" and then would watch as 2 cars were brought in for service before mine. Finally, they get mine in and come out and tell me that my tire could not be repaired because the hole was too close to the sidewall. This was ASTOUNDING news to me as the hole could not have been MORE in the center of tire. I ask them to test it again. AGAIN they told me there was a leak in the sidewall and they started pushing me to buy tires.

I walked right out the door. The next day I brought the tire down to Town Fair Tire and they had it patched and back on the car in 45 minutes and it only cost me $4.

NTB IS HORRIBLE!! DON'T GO THERE!!!

 

i agree... a company i used to work for took all their fleet trucks there. i was afraid to drive them after seeing how they handled some of the repairs...

 

They are a horrible company to work with and they are clueless in the garage. I will never trust them with my car again.
