Default Opinions...what do you think of these rims and tires?

Hey guys. I need some advice. I'm getting some 18'' wheels soon. I drive a flint mica tC. I like the enkei em5 in black. I found them for 1,160 with Kumho Ecsta ASX tires.
what do you guys think of these rims and tires?
Does anyone have these rims? I haven't seen them on a TC.

Here's a link for a picture
http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...k+w%2FMach+Lip

The rims are18 x 7.5 and a 38 off set. The tires are 225/40R/18. I also have TRD springs.

Thanks!

Okay design (looks like a lot of other wheels), good offset, the tires are decent.

If you really like them, do it. People will tell you to save up for what they consider 'better' rims.
It's YOUR tC. If you like them that much, roll with them. Right now, I have $250 ea rims on my tC. I've had
$99 ea rims on before. People really liked the $99 ea rims until I told them how much they were. Then they
got an attitude and said the rims must not be good quality. Seeing that they lasted me 2+ years, I didn't find
anything wrong with them. So basically, you do not have to spend 1/5 the total cost of your tC on rims. GL.

If you like the looks of those wheels, then get them, they're good quality. The tires are very decent bang for the buck, so no prob there. The only question is price, so you might shop around to see if you can get if for less anywhere else, but if not and the quoted price fits your budget, go for it.

Is there something specific you're concerned about? They should fit fine, especially with the TRD springs (nice choice), so is there something else you need to know?

Thanks for nodsetse.

I just wanted to know what everyone thought and possibly if someone had a pic of these rims on a tc. I also wanted to make sure that this setup wouldn't rub with the TRD springs.

You seemed to answer all my questions. thanks!

Yucky those are nasty..if you want to get some Enkei rims, you might as well invest in some RPF1s..at least those are light and have proven to be made of quality. But if your on a budget..spend just a little more and you can get these which IMO are pretty nice looking and light.

^^no problem but just remember..the bigger and more heavier the rim, the more power it takes your car to rotate them. In result, you will waste more gas..that is if you drive a lot. Regardless you should never cheap out on rims because rims are something you depend on every time you drive. You do get what you pay for, especially on rims. 23.5lbs per wheel for the Enkei EM5 compared to 17.5lb per wheel on Gram Light 57C..thats an extra 6 pounds per wheel and 24 pounds in total.

You'll only use more gas when accelerating in order to get the additional mass moving, but should actually use less gas when at a steady speed. Heavier wheels would logically have more kinetic energy, resulting in a flywheel effect.

Overall performance will decline due to the heavier weight, but gas mileage should pretty much be a wash, any difference there will be trivial.

I don't think it matters if they're a few pounds more. It's not like i'm a professional racer.
Plus I only weigh a lil more than a 100 pounds, so I can spare the extra 24 pounds. lol

I don't think enkei's are cheap rims. From what I was told they're quality wheels.

Eh not my cup of team. You can get alot nicer looking rims for $1200. Go look at some 5zigen fncr or some crap like that, I cant remember the exact model name. nicest 5 spoke rim IMO, well in that price range anyway.
