o2 sim questions
So I've been searching around for what seems like hours and my eyes are burning LOL.
I'm hoping for some gurus to help me out here.
Besides the numerous hit and miss anti-fouler threads and specially machined parts that do the same thing I found old threads mentioning electronic sims.
The electronic sims/ simulator boards ranged from:
-ZPI having used a mechanical method, went with an electronic method mentioning a/fs as their reason (these sensors have nothing to do with a/fs right? Though WeaponR mentioned that the CEL does affect a/fs, it still does not explain why ZPI went from one method of defeating a CEL to another for that reason). Upon further searching it seemed that this simulator board was hit or miss also. On a side note their customer service looked awesome, where did they go?
-Alphawerks had a sim included with their headers, from a company called nexus (that had one bright LED and another dim one every 5-8 seconds?)
-o2sims.com which seemed to not fix the CEL at all.
I like the idea of an electronic sim so that in the long run, you never have to replace the OE sensor from wear-n-tare. Were there any plug and play solutions? Were the sims wired in at the ECU? What a heck of a search. The Alphawerks "smart" sim sounds attractive.
