Default Replacing Door Speakers

I want to just replace all 4 door speakers. Are all the speakers in the doors 6.5" ? Also, have you guys heard of Hifonics? Good or Bad? I'm looking for a nice set of 3way speakers. Thanks for the comments and help...

6.5 is correct.. hifonics used to be great back in the day.. today.. not so much.. look for a nice 2-way component set in the front.. and just throw some coaxials in the back for rear fill if you want some.. i haven't replaced mine i just have the gain on my amp almost all the way down

^^4ch on factory spks?
would agree no on the hifonics unless they are in your price range with components and coaxs in back

oh I was gonna say... lol how do you like your momo's? I have been debating what to buy for my spks for a while now and am leaning towards alpine cause thats what I sell at work and we get a discount lol

I have Infinity Reference 6.5" Components in the front, and Infinity Reference 5.25" Coaxial in the back. I was too lazy to install it myself so my friend (back when I worked at Best Buy) installed them for me. Kappa is good, but a little too hardcore (and required too much juice!) so I went with his recommendation of Reference, and they sound AWESOME. I'm outgrowing the Stock HU so it is AVIC-D3 time... (methinks)

you have 5.25" in the rear? did you use brackets to make them mount in the 6.5" holes or are they a good fit? I cant make up my mind on what speakers to go with lol
I have installed both those speakers and like the reference series better.. I think the kappa series is tin sounding even with an amp so I would personally go with the kappa perfects (which are really nice speakers, but that need a big amp) or the reference series

Anybody have any commnts about the Alpine SPS600's or Kicker 07DS600?

I'm also looking to replace my speakers in the XB. At least in the front doors. I have the premium radio not the nav. What do you think I should get. I don't want to use a sub.

the SPS-600's are awesome speakers and would recommend them to anybody.. I also like the reference series components only thing I personally dont like is they dont have too much mids, but the highs are crystal clear!!! the alpine's are a good all around speaker
