View Full Version : HOT WHEELS wheels for our Toys
Jmarks1998 01-08-2005, 02:30 AM I don't know what everyone else will think of these or if they have been posted before since I don't frequent the Tread and Butter section much. I saw these on DiscountTire.com and I thought it would be pretty cool to have a rim that had the HotWheels logo on it for our xB's since our car pretty much looks like a HotWheels car. I mean hey with the new HIN and Jadatoys cars out these would go great with our life size toys. Heres the pic and link to the page.

They are made by Redline and come in Black Matte or Silver PowderCoat. I actually like them even if its kinda cheesy.
chadfo 01-08-2005, 02:52 AM I don't think they are cheesy. Those are nice. I'm a Hot Wheels collector too, so that may have an influence on my opinion.
DROOOOOOOOOL now thats the rims i want
TJandBOXCARWILLIE 01-08-2005, 04:56 AM Neato.
chadfo 01-08-2005, 05:17 AM I just took those and Photoshopped them onto my car and they look GOOD!
ProtoCulture 01-08-2005, 05:34 AM They have other styles that are nice as well.

lets see pls
ThunderGod 01-08-2005, 05:54 AM i seen those @ american tires. they looked OK, but the center caps are huge & made of cheap brittle plastic. if you damage or loose the center cap, theres a HUGE gap thats gonna look just ugly. if they made the caps in aluminum, it'll be much better. i like da kolor

the spokes have to be chrome like on the real hotwheels toys
PandaIst 01-08-2005, 07:17 AM Actually redline is the model name for the rim. Those are made by KMC wheels.

These are more gunmetal on the toy but I think they are similar to the real ones I posted.
Jmarks1998 01-08-2005, 08:03 AM What kind of grill is that?

It looks as if they are just overlays on the center and bottom but a replacement on top, is this correct and where can I get it?

no no look at all the 97 cent hotwheels you'll see the spokes are chome
i'm not talking about the nicer hotwheels that you can't play with on the tracks
Jmarks1998 01-08-2005, 04:36 PM No i understand what you meant I am just wondering if when they made those if they were similar to the HIN xB by coincedence (sp?) or on purpose? I just like the idea of a rim that looks similar to the one on a HotWheels car (HIN xB) that actually says HotWheels on it. It may seem cheezy to some but I actually like the look of the wheel. Not too busy, not a huge lip, not a bunch of rivets, and I think the black matte would look sweet on my PW xB.
X_Box 01-08-2005, 05:09 PM me like
i think the rims came first for the xB then the toy came afterward i think
