you will first want to put a proposal together about you, the car, what you have planned and what you can do for the company. everyone has monitors in their car, so that really won't do it. you need to have some money invested into the car to get noticed

Is there any sample proposals out there. Something to utilize as a guide. I'd like to have some sponsors lined up for my vehicle starting this spring. Any leads?

I generally shy away from sponsorship. Why?
Because I have a hectic schedule and cannot commit to the big, major shows. I can't even tell you if I'll be in the US the whole year.
Plus I may not like what the sponsor has to offer, product wise. With that being said, most of the big manufacturers will go with peeps who have a proven track record at car shows.
I bought my xB and will decide what I put in it.
If yo can gain some sponsors, more power to you.

It's hectic man. Believe me.
You have to go to the shows they give you. Your best bet for a sponsership is go to the BIG shows, IE, HIN, NOPI Nationals, etc. It's the only way to get noticed.
I just recently got on with FAZE Gauges thanks to my friend who is already sponsered by them. And already I have to go to 8 shows.
Also, it's not only hectic, it's very expensive. So if you want to get into this industry my friend, you better have a deep wallet, and a very WIDE OPEN schedule.
Good luck

Well if I get sponsors for my own vehicle, this would also benefit my dealership too...exposure! So it would be considered work as far as time and I can get them to foot the bill for event entries. I will also host my own local events.

Wow! this is another loaded topic. I get so many request for people who want sponsorship. I can't even count them, most of them are guys with clean average daily drivers. Some of them are... well YIKES!!!
Every now and then I get one the is exceptional. The owner has a nice layout on the car, all of the contacts names for the magazines are included, and the articles are listed.
I mean no disrespect but my wife has a more tricked out whip with more audio and video than most, But I don't think anyone will give me free stuff for it.
