On concrete or smooth asphalt everything, is fine but when I'm on a surface with rough asphalt there is a rattle coming from the left side of the dash. Haven't been back to the dealer yet for first service, but I'm thinking it would be helpful to tell him what the cause might be if anyone of you have experienced it on an Xb.
Thanks

Mine rattles a tiny bit on the right side of the dash close to the windshield when I hit a lot of gravel or something. Some cars just have their quirks.

I had one on the left side so it seemed. It sounded like it was at the corner of the dash and the A pillar and the mirror. Just last weekend I pulled the A-pillar cover off and discovered a wire holder (for lack of a better term) unsecured. I locked it around the wire, put a little sound dampening for good measure, and haven't heard it since.
FYI... To get the A-pillar cover off just grab the top and pull towards the opposite side. Once it pulls loose lift up and it will come right out.

Mine comes from the glovebox sometimes on rough pavement. I just open and close it and it goes away.
