hi, i wanted to know if we can hid's in any projector? or are there some that only take halogen bulbs?

if the projector is made for a halogen bulb.. it's made for a halogen bulb..

doesn't stop you from putting a HID conversion kit in one of them... but it won't look the same as if you had a projector designed for HIDs..

 

im not sure what your asking....there are 2 types of projectors: halogen projectors and hid projectors. 08 headlights and anzo/ebay headlights are all halogen projectors. they take a halogen bulb, but can take an HID bulb also. though hid projectors are made for hid bulbs, so the output would be way better than halogen projectors w/ hid bulbs.

 

ok, so if im looking for projectors for a retro fit, what the "key words" that i need to look for in order to know the difference between halogen and hid projectors?

 

google "halogen projectors" and "hid projectors". im guessing you currently have projectors and want to put HID projectors to look like the lexus, bmw, ect...? the difference in the 2 are night and day, output, intensity, width, quality.

if u wanna do a hid projector retrofit into an 05-07 housing, look into tsx projectors (best value for its output and cutoff), pair of shrouds (to cover up the mess and make it look cleaner), and D2S bulbs (hid bulbs for hid projectors) along with some ballasts. Your gonna hack up the low beam reflector housing to get it to fit.
