VRD are clean easy install and look good. FIG can be customized a bit more and are a bit different install. Both are high quality and worth the money. jefffribourg 03-12-2009, 08:03 PM The fig grills are nice also there is a guy who makes them their called johnny designs http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SCION-TC-GRILL-04-05-06-07-08-09-JD-GRILLES-BLACK_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ72Q3a1729Q7c66Q3a2Q7c65Q3a12Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a1318Q7c301Q3a1Q7c293Q3a1Q7c294Q3a50QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem160321228834QQitemZ160321228834QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories AGTC85 03-12-2009, 08:11 PM VRD FTW! captainlaziness 03-12-2009, 08:12 PM Homemade Fig/OEM Frankenstein grille FTW! TheMerovingian 03-25-2009, 08:41 PM I got my VRDs from Ebay. About $150 for upper and lower. Just make sure the seller is VRD and you're good to go. I would like to point out my grills have a chip on the inside which is why the discounted price. But you can't even see it while they're on the car so it doesn't matter. rosedaleny806 03-25-2009, 08:43 PM at one point ebay had VRD grills for 80/100 bucks and it wasnt a VRD seller. lots of people on here bought them they were like APT fogs but in grill form BlckdOutTC 03-25-2009, 08:48 PM ^^i wish apt had grilles rosedaleny806 03-25-2009, 08:51 PM idk wat the brand was for the grills but they were EXACTLY like vrd's perfect fitment and everything tctctc bought them and they look exact idk if they still even sell them mdickson81 03-25-2009, 11:35 PM Where would the best place to get a VRD grille? jkacz5 03-26-2009, 12:00 AM ^Those are ALL fugly. lol, my bad, thouhgt some looked descent kiss_kiss_kill 03-26-2009, 12:12 AM ^Those are ALL fugly. lol, my bad, thouhgt some looked descent Meh, not to me. Hey, you're entitled to your opinion. :P potseng 03-26-2009, 12:28 AM some ebay grilles fit really badly and look ugly....... I bought an ebay cheap fake carbon fiber badgeless grille before and it turns out to be a disaster. The grille doesn't fit at all..... captainlaziness 03-26-2009, 12:33 AM *cough* *cough* Homemade Fig/OEM Frankenstein grille FTW! http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3009/3040521218_cc275b6377.jpg athlete3232 03-26-2009, 01:21 AM VRD!!!!!!!!!!!! geo46_2 03-26-2009, 01:25 AM OEM!! istoppedpre 03-27-2009, 12:32 AM personally i like the debadged look of the FIG grilles but to be honest its up to you for what you want your car to look like, grilles don't really do anything to performance so its really up to how much you want to spend on a brand or what you want your car to look like. J-rod17 04-01-2009, 09:20 PM with johnny designz do I just take the old one off and replace ti with the new one? I have a body shop do all the work usually, but can a "noob" do it? It seems very simple.... shupes31 04-01-2009, 09:25 PM yes, it's very simple. and captainlaziness care to expound on your Frankenstein grille? captainlaziness 04-01-2009, 09:33 PM yes, it's very simple. and captainlaziness care to expound on your Frankenstein grille? I took the OEM grille and cut out all of the honeycomb bits and then trimmed a Fig grille to fit into that space, zip tied the parts together and put it back together with the OE chrome trim. I didn't like how flush the regular Fig grille was and wanted something that looked RS1-ish. |
