OK so today i was checking something under the hood and I accidently shorted the positive battery lead to my cold air intake, which instantly turned off my car. When I turned on my car the check engine light was on and so was the Track off light and the VSC. My car idles like crap and when I give it gas it struggles almost like if it isnt running on all cylinders. All the fuses check out good. So if someone can help me I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

 

have you tried disconnecting the battery and letting it sit for a few minutes. then reconnect it and try again?

 

You might have blown some fuses or an all important fusible link.

 

yea I tried unplugging the battery but it didnt work. I've kinda run out of ideas here, and its driving me crazy!

 

You more than likely now have a fried MAF/Air temp sensor

 

would a bad air temp sensor cause all does lights on the panel to turnn on and cause my car to idle crappy?

Yep. The trio lights come on, goes into limp mode, idles like crud.

 

Your car is in limp-home mode (fail-safe mode).

If it's not a fuse then you probably did toast your MAF.

You really need to have someone look at what codes your box is throwing so you know where to start...

well i just put my friends MAF on my car(luckily he has an Xb too) and it worked just fine. I went to kragen auto parts spent $109 and put it on. She now runs like a dream. Thanks for all the help!

yea it was my own fault it happened. I have to be more careful next time, this wasnt a cheap mistake....
