Where is a good place to get some Dynamat? By good I mean cheap. What similar products are out there which still do the job?
Also, roughly how much am I gonna need for basically the whole rear of my box and perhaps the doors? I was thinking 100 ft^2.
Before someone goes and says "Try a search" I did. Here and elsewhere. Just curious if there is some magical undiscovered location which sells the stuff for $.04 a foot.

$30 aint bad. Enough for two doors I am guessing? Are they precut to fit an average door, if so, how close is the fit?

Yes it says on the box that it includes 4 precut pieces enough to cover 2 average doors. You have to cut them ur self to make them the perfect size.

I did almost my whole xB yesterday. top to bottom, the doors are the only things left to do. started about 10:30 am and finished up around 9:00pm. it made a BIG difference in road noise. I used the Metra Silencer sound deadening stuff, since I work there it was the smart choice. I used Dynamat before with good results also.
just remember to plug all your wire harnesses back in, I forgot to plug the airbag sensor for the driver side seatbelt and the light came on in the dash. I plugged it back in, took the negative battery terminal off for 15 minuets and reconnected it and POW no airbag light. thank goodness.

E-Bay is a good place to buy cheap. I did my Xb with Dynamat, used one bulk pck and one door kit. Then I did my Explorer with Fat mat. If you look at the decibel reduction between the two it is almost exactly the same. Fat mat is about 1/2 the price. Bought both off of E-bay.

I bought some Quik-Fix Roof and Gutter Repair tape by Protecto Wrap at Lowe's. It comes in a 6"x25' roll. It's about 12.95 a roll. It works just like Dynamat, but it's .06" thick. I think Dynamat (the newer sound-reflecting type) is .1". Can't beat it for the price...

I used b-quiet extreme(by same company that sells brownbread). It was real cheap, went on real easily, and didn't have any odor following installation. I imagine it also helps cut down on road noise and improved speakers. (not for certain of it's effects as I installed everything at once shortly after purchasing the xb)
