This noise came outa nowhere it sounds like a piece of metal rattling around when just above idle and hard accel. if i tap the pedal just a bit you can hear it over my exhaust, almost sounds like rasp but its not it was doing it before the exhaust. comes from the pass side on bottom of the engine. I have been experiencing the same problem in my 2010 TC. It only has 25k miles and it mainly does it when rpms get close to or above 3k. Its really noticable in 3rd and 5th gear.

 

what mods (if any) have you done? (exhaust? header? intake?, ect...)?

 

The only thing I have done is change stock airfilter to a K&N filter, but it sounds like its coming from under the hood on the passanger side.

 

is it more of like a cliking/metal type sound, or is it more of a vibration sound or a rubbing sound?

 

I would say its more of a vibration sound.

 

I am having same issues, and I think my motor mounts are gone. Mine is a 5spd, and when i let go of the clutch with out any gas it makes a rattling noise.

 

Noise when clutch is NOT engaged = throwout bearings. When clutch is engaged, INPUT shaft bearings. but many people will do both for ease of mind. old thread by the way, i'm sure you could've made a new one .
