Default Bent wheels

I have two tC wheels that are out of round. Repair shop wanted about $75 per wheel. So, I decided not to get them fixed.

They've been painted gold. But, I honestly just want to give them away. Local landfill doesn't want to take them and says I have to go to a special scrap yard and pay money to get rid of them. I don't want to just throw it in my backyard like a redneck and it's taking up space.

I couldn't post in classifieds section since my post count is low, so wondering if anyone could give me advice on where I could give them away for free (P.S. Tried craigslist, but no one wants bent wheels). If several weeks go by and these are still in my closet, I think I'm just going to dump them in a dark alley somewhere.

If this is in the wrong forum, please move it to the correct one. Thanks!

I'd see if the that repair shop wants them... They could at least fix them up and sell them for something.

Wow, that's a good point. Haha, why didn't I think of that?

Those guys must be wrong. Recycling places pay money for empty aluminum cans, so it seems logical that there must be places that would appreciate taking 38 pounds (19 per wheel) of aluminum off your hands...might even get a dollar or two for them.

^ Took your advice and searched online for scrap places near me. I found a place that would pay for scrap aluminum. Guess it's better than just throwing them away. Thanks for the advice folks.
