anytime you put something on your car that draws attention obviously the cops will look twice at your car over a regular car driving next to you....

Just make sure they can't tag for anything stupid and you should be okay if your gonna let that be a deterrent from getting a cf hood then you might as well leave your car stock.

Then you're going to love this.... install hood pins. If in the event you get pulled over, they may try to ticket you for not having your hood properly secured; I've heard of that happening twice when I lived there.

so have the hood pins installed eh?
got ya. There's just a small spot on the hood
dat needs to be re-clearcoated so iss pretty cheap to get and i don't want to miss the chance. might get it

there you go bud it was tough reading your post. on another note, anytime you modify your car, you attract more attention good or bad. police are just looking for you to do something wrong!

Could always paint it. Then you get the benefits of a lighter, CF hood without that attracting of attention.

Unless you plan on racing, there would be no logical reason to do this. Spend all the money on a CF hood, then pay to paint it, just doesnt make sense to me.

Cops have never gave me crap about my hood, in fact a couple have actually complimented me about it.

Um... sleeper? Not an attention *****? Profiling cops? Just saying if someone is THAT worried about it attracting unwanted attention, just paint it. Then you get the benefit of the weight reduction while looking stock. But then I guess you wouldn't be able to show off that super awesome CF hood though...

i live in the OC 3/4ths of the year, and i dont ever get any attention from cops. i drive by them all the time, stop next to them at the lights, follow them, etc, they never give me a 2nd look. just dont call attention to yourself like "racing" or having an extremely loud exhaust setup...youll be fine.
