Is the tC a brand-new model?

I know that the xA is the Toyota ist in Japan and the xB is the Toyota bB...right? Those two models have been around for at least two years (maybe longer...I'm not sure). Is the tC already produced as another model in Japan, or is it brand-new?

It's a brand new model, specially made for Scion only. There is no JDM tC.

its a new model but on an existing platform. its the same platform as the toyota avensis in europe

it was built off the Toyota Avensis platform, which is a four door. So it wasn't baked from scratch, but just about...

yeah i didn't think you did know about it.. just letting everyone know to get a virus scanner.. mine identified three different viruses.. plus get some spyware removal software like ad-aware by lavasoft.. just warning everyone..

General rule of thumb: don't buy anything for your tC that's marked on eBay as "JDM"

While in Europe this Summer I had an opportunity to drive both Avensis and the model it replaced: Carina. (my family there just went through an "upgrade") Both excellent cars. One may wonder why is Toyota selling such an ugly behemoths in the US (CAMRY) and such a nice, sporty cars in Europe??? What gives???

i thought that first picture of the avensis was a jetta for a quick second. (im also using firefox and didnt notice anything out of the ordinary while visiting the site.)
