unfortunately, the tc has a problem with a rattle in the trunk/hatch even without a system. There are these fins that line both sides of the hatch. if you search there is a diy fix to this problem. I believe its quite a process though.

use 3M double sided tape to tape the license plate to the hatch so it doesnt rattle as much.

^Or get a small piece of sound deadening and place it directly on the back of the plate....that's what I did. Works wonders!

i did the 3m tape and it works perfect for the liscence. What im trying to get to stop rattle is the OUTSIDE of the car. So just wondering where key points for that would be

Determine where they are on your specific tC by testing yourself.

Crank it up, walk around the outside of the car and listen for noise. When you find something you don't like, press on the panel and see if you can stop the noise. Depending on the location, shape and how much pressure is required, you should be able to figure out whether or not damping material will do the trick for the area in question, or if other means of abatement are required.

Going for the "key points" that others post may or may not help your situation, but a little quick & easy work (as described above) on your end will certainly pay off.
