question 1. I have done 4 oil changes and Im at 16200 Miles is this too much? should i only be doing them at 5k intervals?

question 2. I just bought a refurb ipod shuffle (the mini one) because i lost my new ipod touch it was only 29.00 from refurb store what a deal! anyway, can i use an Aux to hook it up to my control panel? will I be able to control it from the dash/ steering wheel, ? thanks!!- John

 

what kind of oil are you using? regular or synthetic?

 

shuffle u can hook up to aux but u have to use the shuffle to control the music

 

synthetic oil can u can run up to 5k intervals. 3k is jus a waste.


and ur shuffle can work if u have the IPOD radio AUX in ur arm rest, or u can always use an FM transmitter

 

oil change every 5K on reg oil.

 

Changing oil so frequently only hurts your wallet, not the car, so do what you want.

 

Change your oil at 5,000 mile intervals.
The iPod Shuffle can hook up to the aux, but you'll have to control your music through the Shuffle.

i guess im the only one on here that changes their oil every 3k and im on synthetic. ( royal purple) my oil looks as clear as when it went in.

no biggy i'd just rather have new oil in it whenever i do soemthing

im not talking about changing filter i'm talkiing taking heads off and blah blah yadda yadda

Okay.... now ...Royal Purple is a good quality synthetic....but if you are changing it every 3K...you are simply wasting your money... unless you live in the desert southwest...there is no need to change it that often...and especially a synthetic.

you can post it here it dont matter to me. its just personal preference I worry too much bout it when i go over 3k i know i could go more. but im also bout to go boosted so its a good habbit to stay with i guess.

 

well if you are using conventional blend oils even then every 5 is okay....if you're going to go boosted...then every 3 is cool... its late here....so I will post the actual test early tomorrow
