Advice on removing an aftermarket alarm on non-scion
I'm not wure if this is the correct place to post this, but I'll give it a shot. If I am wrong, Mods please move this to it's correct location.
I totaled my tC a few weeks ago so I needed wheels while I wait for my RS6 to come in. I ended up with a 92 Honda Accord with 332k on it. There is an old aftermarket alarm installed in the car that doesn't work anymore, well not when I want it to. The car locks itself at random and imoblizes the starter at random. I need to get the damn thing out before my keys get locked in. I was going to try to just unplug the brain box but I'm unsure if that will take care of it.
Does anyone have any advice on how to go about removing the alarm?
Thanks for any help!

remove the dash piece below the steering wheel.. it's easy.. there should be a couple screws at the bottom.. pop that panel off.. and then remove i THINK 4 bolts and then you'll have access to the steering column... unmount the brain and start tracing the wires to where they go.. you'll see a few at the ignition harness, a constant, ignition, and 2 for starter kill, just cut that away and connect the starter back together, then follow your lock/unlock to the kick panel, then your parking lights, you should have a ground, then 2 wires going under the hood to the siren if it has one.. should be pretty straightforward.. make sure to tape up the stock wiring so it doesn't short
