JVTR Radiator does anybody have one of these on there Box?
I live in the desert and it gets very hot here in arizona. I was thinking about upgrading the radiator to this one. what are the pros and cons? if anyone has any input let me know what you think?

Looks ok. I don't have a need for one but jct's suggestion won't really work for you.
If they have one made for the xa/xb I would just go with that, or have a 3 core made up.
Adding another fan , in front, would only block air flow , making it more difficult in your climate.
Go to a shop and see if they can build you a multi-core radiator , cheaper than you might think. You might also get an aftermarket fan that pulls more air , or just wire your exsisting fan to come on with the ingnition ( not the best idea but cheapest)

Why not just run an Koyo?

Also before all that you may want to try a complete cooling system flush where you drain all the old stuff out run a cleaner through then refill with a new 50/50 mix. If you don't have a ScanGaugeII grab one of those first that way you can watch the exact water temp to see if any change was made or to see if it was needed in the first place.

^^ha Zach with the plug.
i heard a few people run a koyo with no problem. It gets hot here in the summer but its a humid hot. heat index around 115 or so.
has your car ever overheated before? i'd look into a scan gauge and a coolant flush yearly or bi-yearly in your climate.

I'll plug anything!
Seriously though with the cold & hot lights on the dash you get next to no info from the car and Toyota's run in worse climates all the time. I have run 224F in the summer in stop & go up a hill with the AC on, it never used to get that high and I started to notice reaching higher temps more often. A good coolant flush and refill had me seeing a max of around 218F in the same conditions. While I'm making a sale, I never suggest just swapping parts out to see if it makes it better we have to be sure there is a problem first.

Yes my xb has overheated once last summer but I was pulling a utility trailer uphills and threw the canyon. I was shopoing around and that KOYO radiator is around 300 bucks I found the JVTR on ebay for 240 shipped. hey thanks guyz for the info.
(updated link to ebay posting for the radiator) Ya I have an auto with the blitz supercharger, most of the time I can pull it with no problem but in mid summer when its really hot It has some trouble, ya Ill look into a transmission and oil cooler, Im just trying to get ready before the heat comes
